What is The Reply Book?
A companion to The Marionette Principle: 150 things manipulators say, and exactly what to say back. Each entry gives the line as people say it, what is happening and which of the book’s 34 Methods it belongs to, one reply under 25 words, and what to do if they push.
Do I need the main book?
No, every reply works on its own. With the book, you also get the mechanism behind each line, because every entry names its Method and the index links all 150 entries to the 34 Methods.
Is it safe to use every reply?
Every reply assumes you are safe to say it. The book ends with When Not to Reply: what to do instead when you are afraid, when someone threatens to harm themselves, or when your money or movements are controlled, with support lines for the US and the UK.
In what order should I read them?
The Marionette Principle first. The Tell alongside Second Face, Method 2. The Reply Book nearby while you read, and after. The Professor’s Journal last, after the epilogue, because it spoils the ending if you open it early.
